Simon & His Camera via Compfight
the hornets’ nest
lies in tatters –
a summer’s work
fallen
to earth.
December dusk –
oak branches clutch
the cold sun
the eastern sky
lightens
as clouds scuttle away –
these days are
not all cold and dark

Why does it have to feel like an act of resistance to remember
“these days are
not all cold and dark”?
I love this trio so much. I can relate to the work lying in tatters, the oak branches clutching, the hopeful horizon.
I know, right?! Resistance becomes seeing that not everything is awful?
Here’s to a 2018 filled with much more compassion and grace than this year.
